At last! N.J. close to legalizing weed as Murphy and top Democrats have a deal.

1. Gas prices tick up in New Jersey, across nation

Gas prices have ticked up a bit in New Jersey and across the nation as crude oil prices continue to climb and refineries prepare for spring maintenance. AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gas in South Jersey was the state on Friday was $2.33, up a penny from last week but still a big drop from the $2.67 at this time a year ago.

2. NJ attorney general subpoenas Trump’s inaugural committee

President Donald Trump’s inaugural committee received a sweeping request for financial records this week from prosecutors in New Jersey, the second subpoena the group has received in as many weeks as its fundraising and spending draws mounting scrutiny.

3. N.J. schools will finally teach about LGBTQ history. Here’s what kids would learn.

When New Jersey schools begin teaching students about LGBTQ history, it will be easy enough to say “Walt Whitman was a great poet, who, by the way, also happened to be gay.”

4. WNY mayor files ethics complaints against town attorney; political foes call it ‘a lie’

West New York Mayor Felix Roque has filed ethics complaints against the town’s attorney, making claims that his political foes derided as "completely false” and “groundless.”

5. Bridge toll set to jump to $5. But it will happen a little later than expected.

You’ll soon have to cough up more money to cross the Delaware Memorial Bridge — just not as quickly (and, in some cases, not as much) as originally planned. About a month after he vetoed an earlier version of the proposal, Gov. Phil Murphy on Wednesday announced an deal with Delaware Gov. John Carney on a $1 increase to the toll that drivers must pay to cross the Delaware River from Salem County to Delaware. The toll will rise from $4 to $5.
