Of the 297 institutions that hold a Division 1 college softball team, only 64 remain and are headed to the NCAA Tournament, which begins on Thursday.
Alums from New Jersey are scattered about, holding roster spots on 11 of those teams. In all, 30 alums are still standing.
Here is a look at all 30 of those athletes, plus a look into the regional brackets they were selected into.

This year’s tournament consists of 16 regionals with four teams in each location. All teams will compete in a double-elimination tournament with the 16 winners advancing to the Super Regionals, May 24-27.
Two teams will meet at each of the eight Super Regional locations and square off in a best-of-three series to determine the eight-team playing field in the Women’s College World Series.
The Women’s College World Series is in Oklahoma City and will be played between May 31 and June 6. The eight Super Regional winners will play double-elimination play with the finals set to be a best-of-three series.
NOTE: Only players who spent a significant time playing for a New Jersey high school will make the list. Also, this list contains only Division 1 programs.
This list will be updated next week with tournament stats and more.
