After a string of tight games to start the season, Montgomery picked up a couple of convincing wins last week. The Cougars topped South Brunswick, 17-3, and bested Princeton, 14-2, to add a couple of victories to its resume. Montgomery’s best performance this season may have come against Moorestown, however, in a 9-8 loss. That game and a tight contest against Hunterdon Central showed that Montgomery isn’t that far off from being a top-level team in the state.
