With Gov.-elect Phil Murphy participating, the Hudson County freeholders and the new county clerk were sworn in for new terms on Friday at the freeholders chambers on Pavonia Avenue in Jersey City.
The swearing-in came a week after originally scheduled because of the nor’easter that struck the region on Jan. 5.
Murphy, who was sworn in yesterday in Trenton, swore in new Hudson County Clerk E. Junior Maldonado and long-time freeholder Anthony Romano of Hoboken.
State Sen. Richard Codey, D-Livingston, swore in one of two new freeholders, Jerry Walker. Freeholder Kenneth Kopacz was sworn in by Bayonne Mayor Jimmy Davis.
