State doesn't want to give accused child molester opportunity to get away again

JERSEY CITY — He got away once, and now the state doesn’t want to give an accused child molester the chance to do it again.

The state has moved to detain Luis Bescome, 31, of Queens, New York, who is charged with sexually assaulting a 10-year-old Union City girl. Bescome was quickly arrested after Friday’s incident, but escaped and rearrested the next day.
