Christie takes final bow in farewell address | Albright

Gov. Christie bid lawmakers farewell Jan. 9 on a tide of self-congratulations on his accomplish in the last eight years. He deserved them.

Popularity aside, Christie left a legacy engraved by Alfred Einstein: “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used to create them.”

Christie boasted that he saved the state from the “brink of financial ruin.”

In his final speech to the joint session of the legislature in the State House Assembly Chamber, he read off his successes: unemployment was cut from 10 to 5 percent; the private sector created 334,400 new jobs and 102,252 new businesses; more …read more
