This new brewery digs deep, using Jersey water from 800 feet below

Days after Beer Connoisseur said New Jersey makes the best beer in the country, the Garden State has added another brewery to its already impressive roster.

Friday marked the grand opening of Hidden Sands Brewing Company in Egg Harbor Township, a brewery which went to great lengths (and depths) to get the best New Jersey ingredients, including the water.

The brewery drilled 800 feet, through two aquifers, to create a well at the Atlantic City Sands Aquifer, which, according to the company’s website, is estimated to be 30,000 years old and gives their brews the purest possible starting …read more
