BAYONNE — A statue of baby Jesus was stolen this week from a nativity scene at the St. Vincent de Paul Church on Avenue C, authorities said.
Church officials say the statue was taken Monday, but they did not notice it was missing Wednesday morning and reported it to police. They have since removed the nativity scene from the lawn altogether.
