A Jersey City police sergeant who struck a man with his SUV in Audubon Park in August has been charged with a fourth-degree assault by auto charge, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced today.
Sgt. John Ransom, 50, was arrested today, charged with assault by auto causing serious bodily harm and is expected to appear in court on Feb. 2, Suarez said in a statement.
