68-year-old woman killed in Kenilworth house blaze

A 68-year-old woman was killed in Monday night in a blaze at a two-family home in Kenilworth, authorities said.

Firefighters and police officers attempted to enter the upstairs apartment, but were blocked by heavy smoke and fire, Kenilworth police said.

The woman, who lived alone, was found in a back bedroom after firefighters extinguished the two-alarm blaze. Her identity was not released pending notification of her family.
