Hudson freeholder accused of flashing badge during traffic incident

A long-time Hudson County politician used a police-like badge to pull over a motorist he claims nearly forced him into oncoming traffic, before flashing the badge a second time and telling the driver the sheriffs “work for me,” the driver said.

The 31-year-old driver said Hudson County Freeholder Bill O’Dea first brandished the badge after the pair had a near collision at Pacific Avenue and Grand Street on Nov. 30.
