Margaret Norman is not your average aunt. She raised seven children that were not her own and treated everyone like family.
And at 104 years old, she’ still there for her great-nieces and great-nephews.
“She raised seven kids that weren’t her own, including myself,” said Norma’s nephew and godson, Herkie Mack. “To her, everyone is family and that is how she treats you.”
Norman, a Jersey City resident, celebrated her 104th birthday on Dec. 7.
Born and raised in the South, she moved north to Harlem and then settled in Jersey City in 1965. She worked as a nurses aide, Mack said.
