Brake check bus driver charged after student suffers broken leg, cops say

A school bus driver in Robbinsville has been charged with cruelty/child neglect after he admitted slamming on the brakes for no reason, which tossed students from seats and left one with a broken leg, authorities said.

The student who suffered a broken leg in the Nov. 30 incident is an eighth-grader from Pond Road Middle School, Robbinsville police said in statement.

Ricky K. Moore, 28, was arrested Thursday morning by Robbinsville police. In addition to the child cruelty charge, police issued him reckless and careless driving citations.
