Alcohol in cop car had nothing to do with police shooting, director says

A cooler containing alcohol found in the cop car a police sergeant was driving the night he fired at a suspect belonged to another officer, Trenton Police Director Ernest Parrey Jr. said Thursday.

The presence of the alcohol, first reported late Wednesday by the Trentonian, led Parrey to take the unusual step Thursday of discussing the ongoing investigation of a shooting involving police officers.
