South Jersey college to bring back sports programs

Three years after scuttling its student athletic programs, Salem Community College wants to put players back on its fields and courts.

Stable finances and steady enrollment makes the time right to start bringing the programs back, according to Dr. Michael Gorman, president of the college based in Carneys Point Township.

“Life gives you windows of opportunity,” said Gorman. “In this case, I don’t know if it reopens at another time.”
