Good manners require that if you hit a car in a parking lot and cannot find the owner of that vehicle you should at least leave a note with your contact information.
If the vehicle you hit happens to be a police car, you should probably make an extra effort to own up to your mistake — especially if it happens in the police station’s parking lot.
