Jury selection began yesterday in the trial of a Jersey City man accused of murdering a good Samaritan who came to a woman’s aid during an assault in 2015.
Froylan Lopez, 30, of Oak Street, is charged with fatally stabbing 26-year-old Troy Brandon exactly two years ago to the day at the corner of Monticello and Storms avenues, officials said.
Brandon, who suffered wounds to his torso, was taken to the Jersey City Medical Center where he was pronounced dead about 40 minutes later, officials said.
