Cop convicted in brutality case says he 'fully expected' to be covered for

NEWARK — A disgraced ex-cop provided four hours of damning testimony today in the federal trial of Francis Styles, a former Bayonne police officer accused of covering up a police brutality incident in 2013.

Domenico Lillo, the former city police officer who admitted to striking a man with a flashlight during an arrest in 2013, testified that he fully expected Styles and other cooperating officers to cover up his use of excessive force on the night of the incident.
