Passenger in car shot in legs and arm, police say

One person was injured in shooting in Bridgeton Sunday night.

Bridgeton Police said two people were riding in a blue 2004 Kia Amanti near the intersection of Walnut Street and Siebel Street around 7 p.m. Sunday when they heard gunshots hitting the car. The passenger was hit in the arm and both of his legs. The driver rushed to Inspira Health Center in Bridgeton.

The vehicle’s rear window had been shattered and bullet holes had penetrated the passenger side of the car, police said.

The victim was transferred to Cooper Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The incident remains under investigation. If anyone …read more
