Man faces 5 years in prison for trying to disarm cop

A Sewell man faces five years in prison after pleading guilty to a charge of attempting to disarm a police officer during a dispute at his ex-girlfriend’s house, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office.

Raymond D. Harvey, 28, entered a guilty plea to the second-degree charge on Thursday and will be sentenced Feb. 4, 2018.

Police responded to Oak Avenue in Deptford Township on Feb. 6 of this year for a report of an unwanted person and encountered Harvey.
