The holiday season opened in Salem County Friday with the annual Woodstown by Candlelight tour.
The crisp, late-fall evening helped provide the perfect atmosphere for the event which has drawn thousands to the historic South Jersey borough of Woodstown over the past decades.
The glow of candles in the windows of the many homes helped to welcome visitors who learned the history of the beautifully decorated houses they visited from their homeowner hosts.
The tour draws guests from throughout South Jersey and even neighboring states.
Along with the many homes, public buildings along with churches and businesses were also open and decorated.
