Salem City welcomed the holiday season Saturday with the annual “Magic of Christmas” Parade.
Once again, a tremendous volunteer effort helped to organize and event which delighted those who lined both sides of Broadway to enjoy the parade which has become a tradition.
Police, fire and rescue units and veterans’ groups all took part. Included with Salem City Fire Department, several out-of-town departments also were in the parade.
Along with bands and dance troupes, elected officials both on the municipal and county level greeted parade watchers.
There were many antique vehicles and even a few horses appearing on Broadway.
