Bags of decapitated birds found in Jersey Shore town

Trash bags containing dozens of headless birds were found twice in three days in Little Egg Harbor, authorities said.

Officers were called to a wooded area off Winding Wood Drive near Route 9 Saturday and found bags containing 22 dead birds including roosters, hens, guinea hens and pigeons, Little Egg Harbor police said in a statement.

On Monday, five more decapitates birds were found in the same spot.
