JERSEY CITY — Forty-four Jersey City police officers were promoted at a City Hall ceremony Tuesday afternoon but it was a 2 year-old girl who stole the show.
Andrew LaBruno, 36, was shaking hands with Mayor Steve Fulop after being promoted to detective when the girl’s voice rang out inside the packed but quiet council chambers.

It was LaBruno’s daughter, Ava, watching the ceremony in the arms of her mother, Meghan.
