Man needs 55 stitches after slashing in Jersey City bar, cops say

JERSEY CITY — A 21-year-old Jersey City man has been charged in a slashing in which the victim was rushed to the hospital and received 55 stitches to close the wounds.

Vontra Marrow, of Orient Avenue, is charged with using a box cutter to slash a man’s right hand, right ear and right side of his neck in a bar near his home on Martin Luther King Drive on Oct. 18, the criminal complaint says.
