Woman had 2-4 mixed drinks before crash that killed designated driver

VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia — The woman charged in a fatal drunk driving wreck that killed a former New Jersey resident told police she had consumed two to four mixed drinks prior to the crash, according to court documents.

Melissa Ann Hancock, 25, of Virginia Beach, was driving the wrong way on a highway around 2 a.m. Nov. 4 when her vehicle collided head-on with a car driven by Daniel C. Dill.
