Jersey City man stabbed after trip to corner store, cops say

A Sunday afternoon trip to the corner store turned violent for a 23-year-old man when he was accosted on the street and stabbed in the chest, police said.

The Warner Avenue man suffered a non life-threatening wound to the left side of his chest around 12:45 p.m. when a man tried robbing him after leaving a grocery store at the corner of Warner Avenue and Martin Luther King Drive, a police report indicates.
