MONROE TWP. — More than 100 volunteers converged on Mary Mazza Duffy Memorial Park on Saturday to build a handicapped accessible playground.
Williamstown Sunrise Rotary took on this project two years ago, with a goal to raise $150,000.
They met that goal and got to work early Saturday.
Volunteers collaborated with a construction company to make this park a reality, according to organizers.
Handicapped accessible playgrounds allow children of all abilities to play together.
The park is located at 25 Corkery Lane in Williamstown.
