High School interact clubs gather to clean Jersey's beaches

ATLANTIC CITY — Bright and early on Oct. 21, Our Lady of Mercy Academy joined four other area high schools, St. Augustine Prep, Absegami High School, Arthur P. Schalick High School, and Vineland High School, for Project Green — an annual Interact Club service project on the beach in Atlantic City.

Working in pairs, the students dug holes and planted more than 10,000 dune grass plugs under the guidance of the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority.
