Quarry could be transformed into retail, housing and hotel

BERNARDS TWP. – The Township Committee on Monday will discuss a draft proposal to redevelop the former Millington Quarry site into a mixed-use complex surrounding a man-made lake.

A concept plan shows the 180-acre property off Stonehouse Road being redeveloped with a mix of retail, housing and parkland. The plan includes 140,000-square feet of retail space, a 60,000-square-foot office building, a 15,000-square-foot restaurant and a hotel with up to 250 rooms.
