Patriotism prevails at Phillipsburg Elementary (PHOTOS)
They pledged their allegiance, sang for the Stars and Stripes and saluted America’s heroes Wednesday.
More than 600 children participated in a celebration for veterans Wednesday morning at Phillipsburg Elementary School on Warren Street in Phillipsburg.
The school’s Patriotic Pride Committee hosted the annual event, which included patriotic songs sung by third-, fourth- and fifth-graders. New Jersey National Guard helicopter pilot Erik Rautenberg delivered remarks, and Cub Scout Pack 51 conducted a flag-folding ceremony.
Veterans were treated to refreshments and the event’s conclusion.
