Teen crash lands SUV into trees, 4 feet off the ground

HOPATCONG — First responders rescued a 17-year-old driver who crashed a sports-utility vehicle Thursday morning, lodging the vehicle between two trees about four feet above the ground, police said.

A vehicle stuck four feet above the ground after a crash on Thursday was later hoisted out of the trees by a towing company, police said.

Officers responded to Sparta Stanhope Road at about 7:29 a.m. and found the vehicle wedged between two trees with the driver still inside, Capt. Thomas Kmetz said in a Facebook post.
