Woman convicted for second time in fatal I-78 DWI crash

SOMERVILLE – A woman whose vehicular homicide conviction was overturned has been found guilty after a second trial.

Amie Marroccelli, 44, of Union Township, found guilty again on Oct. 17, will be sentenced on Dec. 8.

She had been previously found guilty in 2014 during a trial before state Superior Court Judge Robert B. Reed.

Her first conviction, carrying a seven-year prison sentence, was overturned by an appellate court, which ruled Reed erred by not allowing the admission of a note allegedly written by Marroccelli’s husband claiming he was driving the couple’s BMW when the fatal accident happened on …read more
