Ex-corrections officer charged (again) with racist, threatening letters

PALISADES PARK – A former corrections officer from Maryland charged in the past with sending threatening and racist letters to police and businesses has been arrested again on similar charges, authorities said Thursday.

Nikolay Levinson, 34, is charged with two counts of terroristic threats, three counts of bias intimidation and four counts of harassment, according to Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal.

Three police officers from Paramus, Fair Lawn and Garfield received harassing and threatening letters about two weeks ago, Grewal said.
