Man's weapons included bat with flashlight attached, indictment says

SALEM — A man who allegedly had three weapons at the scene of an Independence Day assault — including a bat with a flashlight attached — has been indicted, according to court documents.

Austin M. Smith, 19, of Pennsville was arrested after the incident in Carneys Point Township which allegedly was prompted by Smith’s claim someone had stolen his cell phone.
