Cop, store owner get man back on his wheels after theft

TRENTON — City police officer Chris Hutton was dispatched to the Home Rubber Company on Woolverton Street Wednesday for a stolen bicycle.

It’s a pretty routine matter, and Hutton said it was routine incident for a while: an employee, Adolfo Yac, parked his bike inside the factory Oct. 3 and an unknown male walked inside and swiped it.

But as Hutton talked to Yac, the matter got personal.

The bike was Yac’s way of getting to work, and the company waited a few days to call police so they could review security camera footage in hopes of gathering clues.
