New Flemington-Raritan teacher contract approved

FLEMINGTON – The Flemington-Raritan Regional Board of Education approved its new contract with the Flemington-Raritan Education Association on Monday.

The teachers’ contract was ratified by the Flemington-Raritan Education Association membership on Oct. 2.

The four-year agreement runs July 1 to June 30, 2021 and includes changes to health benefit premium contributions, resulting in savings for teachers. It also includes the introduction of a cap on health insurance waiver payments and a salary increase of 3-percent in 2017-18, 2.9-percent in 2018-19 and 2019-2020, and 2.8-percent in 2020-21.
