Man accused of killing seagull chooses a trial instead of paying a $250 fine

SEA ISLE CITY — A Philadelphia man charged with killing a seagull on the beach in Sea Isle City over the summer rejected an offer from prosecutors that would have only required him to pay a $250 fine, according to a report.

If Andrew Frost, 56, accepted the deal at a hearing on Thursday, prosecutors would have dropped the criminal animal cruelty charge against him, CapeMayCountyHerald.com said.

As a counter offer, Frost offered to make a donation to an animal charity, but prosecutors said no.
