Historic Salem building dedicated to prominent resident, businessman

SALEM — The historic Thomas Sinnickson House, located in the Broadway Historic District in the City of Salem, was dedicated to prominent lifetime Salem County resident, farmer, businessman and public servant, William C. “Bill” Hancock, Jr.

The Sinnickson House, located at 127 West Broadway is currently owned by New Jersey based property and casualty insurer, Farmers Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Salem County (Farmers of Salem). Hancock, who passed away in 2011, served on the Board of Directors of Farmers of Salem from 1980 to 2007, and as Chairman from 2000 to 2007.
