Recent deaths spur threats of student brawl involving 5 schools, cops say

SPARTA — A recent flurry of threats between students at five public and Catholic high schools in Morris and Sussex County was apparently sparked by recent deaths and overdoses, police said.

Sparta Police Lt. John Lamon said the plans for a brawl between these students began in response to a High Point High School student who posted a picture of himself on Instagram holding a BB gun to his head, threatening to harm himself.
