Our sports staff was second to none | Bob Shryock

I’ve had a somewhat checkered newspaper career, some would say, pointing to the ins and outs of the 46 years I’ve spent toiling here at the Times – my second home.

But when it is time to leave I’ll be able to say steadfastly that one thing I was able to accomplish was assembling a sports staff that was second to none in productivity and dedication to the craft.
