I-80 West remains closed for fuel spill cleanup from truck crash

HACKENSACK –A section of Route 80 remained closed Friday morning, hours after a tanker truck collided with a car, causing a huge fuel spill, authorities said.

Traffic is already jammed more than three miles leading to the closure and officials are urging drivers to seek alternate routes.

“Route 80 West remains closed,” the Hackensack Fire Department tweeted about 6 a.m. “Please allow extra time today for travel.”
