MAYS LANDING — A 33-year-old former high school teacher was sentenced Friday to five years in state prison after he admitted to having an inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old student, prosecutors said.
William Jacobs must serve two years before he is eligible for parole, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office. Jacobs, who taught physical education at Buena Regional High School, pleaded guilty to official misconduct.
