Ridge girls soccer dedicating season to 4th grader battling childhood cancer

Ridge comes out every year with championship-caliber focus, but this season has come with a unique perspective and extra motivation as Basking Ridge rallies around a fourth-grader battling childhood cancer.

Katie King, who attends Oak Street Elementary School, was diagnosed in August with metastatic Ewing Sarcoma and faces a year of treatments. It was an unexpected blow for a young girl who is very involved athletically in town, where she plays soccer and lacrosse.
