Bridgewater man, 75, critically-injured in bicycling accident

BRIDGEWATER – A 75-year-old township man was critically-injured in a bicycling accident on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Peter Castle was riding a bicycle on Easton Turnpike near Bridgeway Care Center when he was struck by a 2015 MBW X1 driven by a Jeffrey Kampf, 63, of Hillsborough, police said. The accident was reported at 3:59 p.m.

Castle had been heading east on Easton Turnpike and was riding in the right shoulder. He was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick with life threatening injuries, police said. …read more
