A person was fatally struck by an NJ Transit train near the Bound Brook Station late Tuesday, officials said.
The train was headed to Raritan from New York Penn Station when the person, identified only as a female, was hit west of the station around 11 p.m., a transit agency spokeswoman said.
Raritan Valley Line service was suspended both ways between Raritan and Bound Brook as of around 11:30 p.m., according to the NJ Transit website.
None of the 100 people on the train were injured, the agency said. More information was not immediately available late Tuesday.
