N.J. teen killed by train near Bound Brook station identified

BOUND BROOK – A 19-year-old from Hillsborough was struck and killed by a NJ Transit train near the Bound Brook Station late Tuesday, N.J. Transit spokesman Jim Smith confirmed on Wednesday.

Yairina Quiros was struck about 11 p.m. by a train headed to Raritan from New York Penn Station. About 100 people were on board the train, but none were injured. Service between Raritan and Bound Brook was suspended for about an hour.
