Salem County's Old Boys hold 84th annual gathering

MANNINGTON TWP. — Salem County’s Old Boys held their annual gathering Sept. 28 at the Salem County vo-tech school auditorium.

There were about 180 attending the event now in its 84th year.

John Bobbitt was the master of ceremonies. Music was provided by the Salem American Legion Band.

Sam Klessel from Pennsville was the oldest Old Boy at age 97.

Lee Williams presented Klessel with the ceremonial cane for the third year for being the oldest Old Boy. Klessel said he firmly expected to attend the 2018 gathering of the Old Boys to win the cane for the fourth time.
