If you're under 21, don't expect to drink at this huge horse race

FAR HILLS – A plan is being put in place to curtail underage drinking at this year’s Far Hills Race Meeting, one of the nation’s premiere steeplechase racing events.

In an effort to continue to reduce the number of alcohol-related arrests, including of those under 21, organizers will conduct ID checks of those suspected of drinking alcohol on race grounds. Those drinkers identified as underage will be arrested, and after being charged, released to someone who is not intoxicated.
