1 killed in 3-car crash on I-80 in Parsippany

PARSIPPANY — One person was killed in a three-car crash on Route 80 Tuesday morning, State Police said.

State Police spokesman Trooper Gene Hong said the crash occurred on Route 80 west at mile-marker 41.2 at 6:08 a.m. Three vehicles were involved in the crash, including a Jeep which overturned, Hong said.

The occupant of the Jeep was killed in the crash, he said, but information on the driver’s identity wasn’t immediately available.

Two westbound lanes were closed for several hours as part of the accident investigation, but the lanes reopened around 11 a.m., Hong said.
